Grapes & Graveyards

As you know, our story began back in 2006 when one of the cemeteries in the Diocese of Oakland was in dire need of a makeover. Instead of spending an abundance of money and time to develop multiple acres of land, we decided to plant and cultivate some grapevines – yes, on cemetery grounds.
Fast-forward to 2015: Those grape vines have produced some fantastic wine, and we’ve officially launched the Bishop’s Vineyard brand, an unorthodox California winery that believes wine and faith in Christ go hand in hand.
As far as we know, Bishop’s Vineyard is the only vineyard in existence blending their wines with a bit of the afterlife. We invite you to become a part of our unique story, and encourage you to make our wines part of yours. Cheers!
